I've been using Typepad since 2004 though after an initial toe-dip, I didn't get started properly till early 2005. It took me that long to realise blogging wasn't a passing fad.
So why Typepad? I was lucky to spot some industry awards ceremony and the professionals were all recommending Typepad. For good reason too - It's easy to set up, as cheap as chips, and great-looking.
There are three main levels for you to choose from.
A basic level account costs less than $5 per month. This can be a great starting place for you if you've never tried blogging before. Typepad has a huge number of professional looking templates to get you up and running with a decent web presence in just a few minutes.
The Mid level account at under $9 per month is the right choice if you are looking for extra functionality and designability. At this level, you can personalise your blog with different fonts, colours and your own banner. Not to mention that you can now have up to three blogs and guest authors. It's easy to upgrade or downgrade your Typepad account at any time too, so you're never stuck with the wrong plan.
Pro level is remarkable value at just $15 per month for unlimited blogs and guest authors, if you want them. Pro is great for serial bloggers, businesspeople and those of you who have more than one business and want to have an affordable web presence for all of them. You can create blogs, one page sales letters and traditional looking websites - all from one account for just a few dollars each month.
